Plumstead Police Log: Fraud, Motorcycle Crash, & More

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between March 22 and March 28, 2021.

March 22

At 11:25 a.m., a resident reported a complaint after receiving a suspicious phone call. The resident said the caller impersonated a family member in distress. The phone call was deemed to be fraudulent.

March 23

At 9:31 p.m., officers responded to the Cross Keys Place shopping center for a vehicle driving erratically around the parking lot. After arriving, officers spoke with witnesses in an attempt to identify the vehicle. Police plan to obtain video surveillance in an attempt to identify the vehicle.

March 24

At 9:50 a.m., a resident reported a fraud involving a purchase of a vehicle on eBay. Detectives were able to help the victim get their money back.

At 11:10 a.m., officers assisted the Hilltown Township Police Department with serving an arrest warrant at 1000 North Easton Road. Kati Jo Jett was taken into custody and turned over to Hilltown police.

March 25

At 5:58 p.m., officers investigated a verbal dispute on North Easton Road. One adult woman accepted drug treatment and was transported by patrol car to a local hospital for evaluation.

March 26

At 2:56 p.m., officers investigated a domestic dispute on Winterberry Drive. Upon arrival the residents involved were separated. Officers mediated the argument and one of the parties agreed to leave the home.

At 4:19 p.m., officers investigated a call regarding juveniles riding motorbikes on Schweitzer Park property. Two teens were returned home and instructed on the ordinance of township property.

March 27

At 6:03 p.m., Plumstead Township police officer Jeffrey Moffett responded to Broad Street and Middle Road to assist Hilltown Township police with a motorcycle crash investigation.
