Plumstead Police Log: Traffic Accidents, DUIs, Distress Calls

On Feb. 20, a driver was extracted from his vehicle following a crash on Swamp Road and taken to a local trauma center for his injuries.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Feb. 20 and Feb. 26.

February 20

At 7:11 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Stump Road and Haring Road with no injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

At 8:26 p.m., police responded to a domestic situation in the area of North Easton Road. Officers provided literature regarding domestic violence and stayed at the residence until the situation was resolved.

At 11:19 p.m., a driver was extracted from his vehicle following a crash on Swamp Road and taken to a local trauma center for his injuries. The Plumstead Township Accident reconstruction team is investigating the cause of accident.

At 11:42 p.m., police investigated a domestic dispute involving an intoxicated female in the area of Louis St. Claire Drive. Officers were able to mediate the dispute and provide them with S.T.A.R resources. No further action taken.

February 21

At 12:07 p.m., officers investigated a disabled truck trailing another vehicle on Swamp Road and Pine Run Road. The truck became detached from the trailing vehicle and driver was awaiting help. Doylestown Township Police Department advised.

February 22

Around 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., police investigated two traffic accidents and five disabled vehicles within the township due to weather conditions.

At 8:21 am, police were informed of a suspicious incident from Safe 2 Say from an anonymous tipster. Officers are still investigating the incident.

February 23

At 11 a.m., Alexandria Herrmann, 25, of Hellertown, and Elias Mallouhi, 21, of Allentown, were taken into custody and arraigned from a hit and run incident that occurred on April 20, 2020.

At 3:55 pm, police investigated a disturbance at Jersey Mike’s on West Swamp Road. An employee reported feeling threatened via text messages. Police were able to mediate the situation and no further action was needed.

February 24

The Central Bucks Motor Carrier Safety Enforcement Team conducted a safety inspection detail in New Britain Township between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. During the detail, 14 vehicles were stopped and inspected, and two vehicles were placed out of service. Seven citations were issued for violations that were found during the detail.

At 8:36 a.m., police investigated a four-vehicle traffic accident with injuries on North Easton Road and Silo Hill Road. The operator of one of the vehicles, a 44-year-old male from Quakertown, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

At 9:27 a.m., police investigated a two-vehicle traffic accident as a result of road rage on the 1100 block of North Easton Road. Officer is still investigating the incident and if anyone has any information regarding the incident please contact the Officer at Sarnosky@plumstead.gov or Plumstead Police at (215) 766-8741 and refer to incident 2021-1047.

At 1:58 p.m., police were dispatched for a report of overdose on Durham Road. Upon arrival, police located a 28-year-old deceased male from New Jersey. Detectives are investigating the incident.

February 25

At 12:59 am, police responded to a residence on Swamp Road for a 25-year-old male suffering from a mental health crisis. Officers and responding squad members of Central Bucks Ambulance were able to slow down his breathing and he accepted help. He was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

At 12:35 p.m., a Plumstead Township resident contacted the department to report an AT&T account fraudulently opened in his name in the excess of $1.357.00. A report was filed, and a fraud/identity theft packet was completed.

At 4:42 p.m., officers of the Central Bucks Evidence Response Team responded to County Line Road to assist Warminster PD with an armed robbery and shooting that had previously occurred.

February 26

At 4:30 p.m., officers responded to an assist in Solebury Township for a barricaded subject. Subject exited the home after some negotiations. Officer was cleared from assist and no further action taken.

At 6:22 pm, officers investigated a verbal dispute between neighbors on Summer Hill Drive. Officers were able to mediate the situation.
