Plumstead Township Police Log: Dead Bird, Soup Found In Mailbox
A Plumstead Township resident told police that a dead cardinal and a can of soup were poured inside and outside their mailbox.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between April 26 and May 2, 2021.
April 26
— At 12:40 p.m., a Plumstead Township resident contacted the department to report a fraud involving unemployment. The resident was informed that an unemployment claim was fraudulently opened in her name. A report was failed and the complainant was advised to contact the unemployment office.

— At 1:45 p.m., officers investigated a suspicious occurrence on Worthington Road. A Plumstead Township resident said that a dead cardinal and a can of soup were poured inside and outside their mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Dockery at 215-766-8741 or tdockery@plumstead.gov.
— At 7:02 p.m., officers investigated an animal complaint on Meetinghouse Road. A male caller reported that a large dog charged at him and his dog while they were on a walk. The owner of the dog was notified of the complaint and told police they would take safety measures to keep the dog on their property. Neither the man nor his dog were injured.

April 27
— At 3:45 p.m., officers responded to a call on Durham Road that a tractor trailer drove through the area and the top of the vehicle caught wires from a utility pole. Officers contacted PECO and crews de-energized the line and removed it from the roadway.
— At 7:42 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near Haring Road on the driver of a black 2016 Dodge pickup. The driver was charged driving under the influence after failing to pass field sobriety tests, police said. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
April 28
— At 4:03 p.m., Plumstead Township Officer Jeffrey Moffett, who is part of the Bucks County Homicide by Vehicle Task Force, responded to East Broad Street and North Hellertown Avenue to assist Quakertown Borough police with a motorcycle crash investigation.
— At 11:59 p.m., officers investigated a suspicious person on the porch of a home on Stump Road. When officers arrived on scene, they confirmed the man's identity and provided a courtesy transport to his residence.
April 29
— At 4:24 p.m., officers responded to a domestic standby on Point Pleasant Pike. Officers remained on scene while personal items were retrieved from the residence.
April 30
— At 3:40 a.m., Plumstead Township Officer Jeffrey Moffett responded to Homestead Drive and Timothy Drive to assist Central Bucks Regional Police with a single vehicle crash investigation resulting in serious injuries.
— At 8:38 p.m., officers investigated a hit and run traffic crash on Roseberry Drive. A minor dent and scrape were observed on the vehicle that was hit. The driver who left the scene was identified and a crash report was filed, police said.
— May 1
At 5:02 p.m., officers investigated a call for an overdose on Bradshaw Road. A woman was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor. Narcan was administered and the woman was revived within minutes. She was then taken to a local hospital.
— At 7:17 p.m., officers were called to check on the well-being of an adult male on Lexington Drive who was showing signs of danger to himself or others. The man was transported by a family member to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
