Police Make 2 More Arrests For Retail Theft In Warrington
33-year-old Lansdale man taken into custody at Wegmans; 23-year-old Philadelphia man arrested at the Wawa store.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following arrests between Dec. 24 and Jan. 6:
December 24
- Police responded to Wegmans on Christmas Eve for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival, the store’s loss prevention officers told police that a 33-year-old Lansdale man had stolen $24.71 worth of merchandise. The man was observed selecting several items and proceeding to an empty aisle where he concealed the merchandise in his jacket. He then exited the store while failing to pay for the concealed merchandise. He was taken to the loss prevention office where he admitted to the theft but failed to identify himself. He was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed and released.

- Police responded to a report of retail theft at the Wawa store. Store personnel informed police that the suspect had stolen $7.41 worth of merchandise and provided a description. Shortly thereafter, police located the 23-year-old man from Philadelphia. He was arrested and transported to the station where he was processed and released.
