BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The deadline for Bucks County residents and businesses who suffered losses and property damage in the remnants of Hurricane Ida to receive federal aid has been extended until Dec. 10, officials announced on Sunday.

Individual assistance funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as public assistance funds for the county, have been available since a disaster declaration in September. Bucks was one of 22 Pennsylvania counties eligible for individual assistance after the flooding and tornado disaster.

"I'm grateful our president has responded swiftly, and the federal government worked with state and local officials to conduct damage assessments and determined that Pennsylvanians are deserving of this critical federal aid," Gov. Tom Wolf said in a statement.
