Texas-Style Barbecue Spot Closes Its Doors In Lahaska
"Sometimes no matter how much you try to plan things out, it just doesn't work out in your favor," the owner wrote on Facebook.

LAHASKA, PA — Craft Barbecue Co., formerly Holy 'Que Smokehouse, has closed its doors in Lahaska.
Owner and pitmaster Tom Peters made the announcement on its social media pages.
"It is with great sadness that we are announcing the closure of our restaurant. Sometimes no matter how much you try to plan things out, it just doesn't work out in your favor," Peters wrote on Facebook. "It's a tough pill to swallow but barbecue just isn't something that's sustainable in Lahaska."

In 2020, Peters traded a job in real estate to open Holy 'Que Smokehouse, bringing authentic Texas-style barbecue to Bucks County and the village of Lahaska. It was on a trip to Austin that the New Jersey native fell in love with Texas barbecue.
Earlier this year, Peters rebranded the business, dropping the Holy 'Que name for Craft Barbecue Company.

"For the amazing customers that stepped through our doors, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support over the last 4.5 years," said Peters. "We cherish each and every one of you for the memories you've helped us create."
Peters added, "While we won't have the shop anymore, stay tuned for something we're working on. Like they say, when one door closes, another one opens. Please keep us in your thoughts as we navigate to our next journey."
