Warrington Park To Be Named After New York Jets Runningback
New York Jets runningback Josh Adams will appear at a groundbreaking ceremony for a soon-to-be upgraded community park in Warrington.

WARRINGTON, PA — New York Jets runningback and Warrington native Josh Adams will appear at a groundbreaking ceremony for a soon-to-be upgraded township park.
The ceremony will take place Wednesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at DocterAdams® Community Park (Willow Knoll Playground), 2235 Oxford Road, Warrington.
The goal of the project is to add a play area for children ages 2-5, including new age appropriate swings suitable for toddlers and younger users, township officials said. Plans also call for updating the 5-12 play equipment and adding a "Play 60" Challenge Course with a 40-yard-dash track, both of which will have built-in timing systems.

The upgrade is the brainchild of Adams, a Central Bucks High School South alum and Warrington native who spent many hours playing in Willow Knowl Park as a kid.
"My goal is to give back to my neighborhood, and I think that redevelopment of the park would not only be beneficial for the neighborhood but for the entire community," Adams said. "I want to inspire kids to go out and play, train and exercise and feel good about their surroundings. The redevelopment can help cultivate their future in a positive way."

The park name is derived from the nickname Adams' football teammates at Central Bucks South gave to him in high school.
The project is being funded through donations and grants, including a $90,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from Bucks County.
