DOYLESTOWN, PA — Workers were busy at the Barn Plaza last week getting ready for the much anticipated opening of the new Whole Foods Market on Thursday, March 13.

While several workers powerwashed the sidewalks in front of the new store, inside they were busy stocking shelves and getting ready for the big opening.

Another group of workers were installing a new shopping center directory sign at the entrance to the Barn Plaza at 1745 South Easton Road.

Since the announcement was made that Whole Foods would be opening at the center, the Doylestown Township shopping center has undergone a multi-million-dollar facelift with new signage and a sleek new modern look.

The former Applebee’s store has also been razed and is being replaced by a new standalone building now under construction in the parking lot of the shopping center.

The doors to the new 43,617-square-foot Whole Foods Market located 1745 South Easton Road are scheduled to open on Thursday, March 13 at 8 a.m.

According to Whole Foods, the first 300 customers in line will receive a custom tote bag and Secret Saver coupon featuring offers of up to $100 off. Also on opening morning, customers will be treated to complimentary coffee from Backyard Beans and bites from Aaji’s.

Additionally on opening morning, Whole Foods will make a food donation to Manna on Main Street. The Lansdale-based nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van from the company, which picks up surplus food from Whole Foods Market stores and redistributes it to the community’s needy.

Both donations are part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need.
