Wind-Fueled Mulch Fire Burns For Hours In Warrington Twp.
Firefighters from six companies fought the fire for more than six hours Sunday night into early Monday morning.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters from six companies worked for six hours to extinguish a stubborn mulch fire that ignited Sunday night and continued to burn into early Monday morning.
Warrington Fire Company No. 1 responded to the scene just after 10 p.m. Sunday night for a reported mulch fire in the 2900 block of Pickertown Road.
When crews arrived, they found a significant mulch fire that was rapidly spreading due to the winds from the Nor'easter. Mutual aid all-terrain vehicles and field trucks were called to the scene to assist.

Crews operated for more than six hours to extinguish the fire, according to Warrington Fire officials, who had command of the scene.
Assisting Warrington were Doylestown No. 1, Hartsville Fire Company, Point Pleasant Volunteer Fire Company, Lingohocken Fire Company and Horsham Fire Company.
