Woman Cited With DUI After Crashing Car: Doylestown Twp. Crime Report
Police reported the following incidents of theft, DUI, forgery and counterfeiting during the month of September.
DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Doylestown Township Police handled 856 calls for service in September. They investigated 24 traffic accidents and issued 83 traffic citations, 200 traffic warnings, and four non-traffic citations.

- On Sept. 14, a 42-year-old woman was arrested for DUI after she crashed her vehicle on Sandy Ridge Road near Iron Hill Road.
Fraud
- Detectives gave another seminar on scam at the Central Bucks Activity Center. "Our feedback has been positive, and several of our reports this month included attempted scams where the residents knew not to click on the computer pop-ups or fall for the grandparent scam," police said. According to police, 15 reports of fraud were logged during September. Stay tuned for future scam seminar dates and remember to talk with family members about online safety.
Forgery and Counterfeiting

- On Sept. 11, officers conducted a traffic stop a vehicle for speeding and found that the driver had a fictitious PA driver's license. The license was seized and the driver was charged.
Public Drunkenness
- On Sept. 3 at 12:30 a.m., officers found a 40-year-old nearly unconscious woman urinating in the grass at State Street near Burpee Road. Police took her to the hospital and issued her citations.
- On Sept. 8 at 11:20 p.m., officers found a 26-year-old intoxicated man walking in the middle of the road on State Street near the 611 Bypass. He was arrested, cited, and released to his mother.
Theft
- On Sept. 18, officers were on scene at Weis Market when a retail theft suspect was identified by employees. The store directed police to ban the individual from the store in lieu of criminal charges.
- On Sept. 25, a formerly employed nurse at a retirement complex submitted a forged prescription and stole a controlled medication from an on-site pharmacy. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 26, an unknown subject visited used a fraudulent identification card to access a bank account without permission at Customers Bank in the Mercer Square Shopping Center. The investigation involves multiples agencies and is ongoing.
