Courts: Man Arrested for Selling Heroin at Edgewood Towne Center, DUI Arrests

The following cases recently were heard by in :

Mark Anthony Lowery, 24, of Penn Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence. He was arrested by police Sept. 24.

Isaac Rodriquez, 46, of Forest Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content of .02 or higher with a suspended license and compliance of exhaust requirements. He was arrested by Forest Hills police Oct. 9.

Quinton Donte Smith-Anderson, 20, of Wilkinsburg was held for court on charges of possession with intent to deliver, disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested by Swissvale police Nov. 2 during an operation at Edgewood Towne Center in which officers in plain clothes arranged to buy heroin. The police complaint states Smith Anderson came to their car window and showed them two bundles of heroin. The police then said they had to get the money out of the trunk, got out, and he started running. He was later arrested after a chase.

William Tomer, 66, of waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of penalties, sales to ineligible transferee and giving firearms prohibited. Charges were filed by Swissvale police Jan. 10. A pistol used in two, separate shootings at Partners bar in Lawrenceville were traced back to Tomer.

Ronald Benjamin White, 21, of Turtle Creek waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, burglary and criminal mischief. Allegheny County police charged him Jan. 10 stemming from an incident in which a residence on Windsor Avenue was broken into and found to have $4,700 worth of coins taken.

Brian Venturella, 30, of East McKeesport was held for court on charges of harassment, two counts of making terroristic threats and intimidating a witness. He was arrested by Swissvale police Dec. 5.

Claudy Pierre, 27, of Oakland waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was arrested by Forest Hills police after a domestic dispute Sept. 2. Pierre also was held for court this week on charges of writing bad checks.
