Jan. 13

  • Police assisted the fire department with a report of water in a basement on Gordon Street.
  • Police responded to a report that a car was broken into at at Edgewood Towne Center. A Silver Jeep had a broken window, while it was found a black purse containing ID, a checkbook, debit card, and $400 in food stamps were taken.
  • Police responded to a hit and run accident at the corner of and Maple avenues in which a vehicle damaged the fence there. The driver was gone before police arrived.

  • Police towed Carl Jordan’s car after a traffic stop in which they found his vehicle had bad plates and he was driving with a suspended license.
  • Police responded to a report of criminal mischief after Paul Gates, owner of , said his establishment had overnight damage.
  • Police assisted the fire department with a report of a washer smoking at the laundromat on Edgewood Avenue.

  • Edgewood police assisted officers in a report of a suspicious man seen at 1112 S. Braddock Ave. who entered the building next to the jewelry store and was opening the alarm panel doors.
  • Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Oakview. A white van was left running and was found to be flushing hydrants.
