Check out this local club.

has formed a Teen Club “to get together for fun, games and assorted activities in a safe, positive and wholesome environment,” according to Lloyd Miller, the club’s sponsor.

Open to ages 13 to 17, the club will meet March 17 and 31 at 7415 Irvine St. from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

So far, club members have spent time at a ceramic shop, where each member selected an item and then painted it, and making a 15-foot-long poster showing the things that the teens enjoy doing.

“We have a lot going on,” said Miller, who has extensive experience in youth programs with the Salvation Army. “We encourage teens throughout the area to show up to see all the mysteries unfold in this exciting new venture.”
