Brunch at Root 174 Starts April 15

There's a new place in the neighborhood to grab Sunday breakfast!

Regent Square residents soon will have a new option for brunch as opens its doors for a new kind of dining experience.

The South Braddock Avenue dinner staple, co-owned and led by , will begin offering brunch April 15 and continuing every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The restaurant will not take reservations for brunch.

Root 174 also will not have dinner service on Sundays when the change begins.

“We are going to have different devilled eggs, a breakfast spring roll, french toast and pancakes will change constantly,” Fuller said.

The brunch also will feature egg sandwiches and coffee frites. 

“It will be a fun brunch,” he said.

In addition to brunch, Fuller also said the restaurant is in the process of obtaining a liquor license. He expects to be serving alcohol there sometime in May.

After they receive the license, he said about five new cocktails will be featured at dinner, all with Pennsylvania-based ingredients. Bottles of wine and beer also will be offered after the change.
