Wilkinsburg Community Ministry Taking Donations for National Hunger Awareness

Here are a few ways you can help this month.

March is Senior Hunger Awareness month, sponsored by the Meals on Wheels Association of America.

Wilkinsburg Community Ministry is taking part in a variety of efforts to mark the month. MOWAA is celebrating their 40th anniversary of the inclusion of Senior Nutrition Programs in the Older Americians Act. On Wed., March 21, Wilkinsburg Mayor John Thompson is delivering meals for WCM along with a few other members of the community.

Mon., March 19 is 'Help a Senior Day.' "We are asking the community to make a donation either food, money or time delivering meals," said Ann Greider of WCM.
