WPSD Offers American Sign Language Classes This Spring

The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf will offer a spring session of American Sign Language classes on the school's Edgewood campus, 300 East Swissvale Ave.

The eight-week, non-credit courses meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Three levels of ASL will be taught.

The classes not only teach signing skills, but also promote a greater understanding of deaf culture through interaction with deaf and hard of hearing people. The fee for the session is $60 and is due with registration.
