2024 Hatboro's Borough Ball

Hatboro announce the 2024 Borough Ball Service Awards

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce will honor its “2024 Service Award winners at the biennial Borough Ball that will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland, Pa. This event is organized by the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $75.00 per person. Reservations are accepted until February 23, 2024

“Our award winners will be honored for distinguished service rendered to the Borough of Hatboro characterized by selfish devotion to the welfare of others,” says Borough Ball Awards Committee Chairman Robert M. John, Esq.

The Service to Public Award is being presented to Dr. Kelli Sendel, principal at Crooked Billet Elementary School/ Hatboro-Horsham School District. Sendel has been apart of the Hatboro-Horsham School district since 2006 as a Math teacher at Keith Valley Middle School and HHHS, then principal of Simmons Elementary school and now is the principal of Crooked Billet Elementary School. She is very proud to carry on the tradition of Crooked Billet Day every year the 1st of May.

The Service to Community Award is presented to Charlie Oski, Senior Program Director/Membership at the Hatboro/Willow Grove YMCA. Charlie started his role as swim instructor and lifeguard at the Hatboro YMCA eventually being the Aquatics Director of The YMCA and now involved in many membership duties at the Willow Grove YMCA. Charlie’s work behind the scenes has enhanced the quality of life in the Hatboro Community.

The Service to Youth Award is presented Justin Ryan Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 17. Justin has worked tirelessly to keep Pack 17 thriving for the last 4 years as Cubmaster, and assistant den leader 3 years prior. Justin always ends every pack meeting with the same bit of advice,” Remember to do your best, and make it better every day”.

The Service to Business Award is presented to Mike Sharp, owner of Hatboro Lumber. The Sharp family has owned the business for the past 25 years. Hatboro Lumber is not only dedicated to exceptional customer service, but with their support to the community and businesses as well. Some of their associations include The Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, local Boys and Girl Scout Troops, and Hatboro Little League as well as sponsoring and donating to support local events.

“On behalf of the chamber’s awards committee,” says the Chamber Board of Directors, we want to thank everyone who nominated a candidate for these prestigious awards, and to all exemplary candidates who have dedicated time and energy to improve the life in our community.”
