The Hatboro Borough Police Department said that at 3 p.m. Friday, Williams Lane will be closed to vehicular traffic from York Road to the rear driveway of Ross & Company. Williams Lane will remain closed through 7 a.m. on Monday.

Once this portion of the road is closed, there will be no through traffic on Williams Lane between York Road and Orchard Avenue.

Residents and business owners are asked to remove all parked vehicles from Williams Lane before Noon Friday to allow Public Works to set up the dining area. Meter bags will be placed on meters as well.

Public Works will remove the dining area and reopen Williams Lane on Monday morning with the road expected to reopen at 7 a.m. Police said the exact time will vary based on staffing and weather.

This dining area is in addition to the Hungry Hideaway, which is taking place on East Monument Avenue from Noon Friday through 7 a.m. on Monday.

"We hope to see everyone enjoying the nice weather and their favorite foods from local restaurants on East Monument Avenue and Williams Lane this weekend," police said.

The East Monument Avenue Dining Area is located on East Monument Avenue between York Road and the rear driveway of 210 N. York Road.

The area will also be open on Sept. 5-8.

Any businesses that normally receive deliveries via East Monument Avenue are encouraged to inform delivery companies if the vendors are visiting businesses any time during the closures.
