Aqua Water Main Replacement Project Underway In Hatboro
Hatboro officials said a road closure is involved in the project that is expected to last over the next two weeks.

HATBORO, PA — A section of a borough road will be closed over the next two weeks as a result of a water main replacement project being performed by Aqua.
Borough officials said that Meadowbrook Avenue from Bonair Avenue to the rear parking lot entrance of Jacksonville Green Apartments (301 Jacksonville Road) is closed to drivers as a result of the project.
The closure is expected to last for the next two weeks through July 21.

Aqua informed borough officials that the road closure is a requirement of SEPTA. Officials said Aqua hopes to reopen the road sooner than currently scheduled.
The closure is for a large water main replacement project taking place on Meadowbrook Avenue, Drummers Way, North Penn Street, Summit Avenue, and Oakdale Avenue.

Aqua has stated that there are no other road closures planned for the duration of this project.
Aqua will be using temporary traffic control measures including the use of flaggers when working on the remaining streets. Residents, emergency services, school buses, mail carriers, and Public Works will have access to the impacted streets while work is taking place. There may be times when access to individual driveways is limited when drilling is taking place immediately in front of your home; however, Aqua will do the best to accommodate everyone in the area.
Aqua will notify the borough and emergency services if there are any changes to their scope of work and/or if they need to make any other road closures while work is taking place.
Aqua will also notify customers directly if and when there are any service interruptions to their properties, borough officials said.
Residents with questions or concerns regarding the project should call Mike Staerk of Aqua at 215-659-2505.
