HATBORO, PA — After opening a little over two years ago, Ariella's Kids Exchange will be closing its consignment store on North York Road at the end of February.

"It's not an easy decision, but it's one that we have to make," its owners said in a Facebook post. "Our journey here is coming to an end. We are nearing three years here and have enjoyed meeting so many of you, but we have made the tough decision to close our doors at the end of February. We will genuinely miss our regulars, and sharing stories together. Many laughs and some tears will be cherished as we move forward."

Ariella's is offering 20 percent off all used items and 15 percent off all new items through Dec. 31.

Lazauskas told Patch in July 2023 that the couple started thinking about opening a storefront before the pandemic hit.

She said that 80 percent of the stock is used or gently-used clothing and that the shop checks for stains and rips. She said the business accepts clothing that's a decade old. The shop also offers puzzles, baby goods, beach hats, and bathing suits, besides toys.
