Borough Ball “Service to Community "Awards for 2022
The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce will honor its “2022 Service to Community” award winners at the biennial Borough Ball that will be held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland, PA.
“Our award winners will be honored for distinguished service rendered to the Borough of Hatboro characterized by selfish devotion to the welfare of others,” says Borough Ball Awards Committee Chairman Robert M. John, Esq.

The Service to Public Award is being presented to Pastor Douglas Stratton, pastor of Hatboro Baptist Church. He has facilitated working with local schools and our community to bring everyone together and provide much needed support. He is always willing to offer to help with any community group to raise money for mission trips, offering the community two free meals every month that are made by the congregation, listen and provide guidance to those in need.
The Service to Community Award is presented to Jackie & Tony Evangelista for their service to the Hatboro Community. They not only are the owners of the Hatboro Dish, they also work with many organizations such as Hatboro Little League, Toys for Tots, Relay for Life, and giving students from HHHS the opportunity to learn life skills at the restaurant. Jackie and Tony have always opened their restaurant to non-profit organizations to hold their fundraising events there. During several months of 2020, they worked together with other organizations to help feed the Hatboro Community with free meals.

The Service to Youth Award is presented to HAT PACKS. Over 4 years ago three residents of Hatboro got together to plan how to fill weekend hunger gaps for the children of the Hatboro-Horsham community to make sure no child goes hungry. This organization supplies weekend meals to over 250 student and their siblings on a weekly basis 12 month a year. A true small town grass roots organization that saw a need in the Hatboro community and took action. During Covid the St John’s Food Pantry was lacking volunteers and this organization stepped up and help keep the pantry open and supplied with necessary items for those in need.
The Service to Business Award is presented to Paula and Sal Randazzo, owners of Nonno’s Bakery. This couple never hesitates to jump in and help out not only the businesses of Hatboro or anyone else needing rolls or pastries for an event when their supplies didn’t arrive in time. Each week during the pandemic they donated over 500 rolls and dessert items.
“On behalf of the chamber’s awards committee,” says the Chamber Board of Directors, we want to thank everyone who nominated a candidate for these prestigious awards, and to all exemplary candidates who have dedicated time and energy to improve the life in our community.”
