HATBORO, PA — A procession of police, fire and EMS vehicles, along with the big guy in the red suit himself, drove by the home of a seriously injured, local police officer this past weekend, bringing joy to the officer's young son.

Jackson Allen, son of Hatboro Police Officer Ryan Allen, was shown in a video on social media waving to the emergency vehicles in the driveway of what appears to be his Doylestown home.

He is pictured with Ryan Allen's four-legged K9 partner, Louie.

There were numerous emergency vehicles from various police departments, fire departments and ambulance associations from the region.

At one point Santa Klaus emerges from a fire truck and approaches the young boy.

"Are you Jackson?" the man in the red suit asks the young boy before giving him a gift.

"The nice police officers asked me to give you that," Santa said while handing over a present.

The boy's father, Ryan Allen, is a beloved member of the Hatboro Police Department who was rushed to the hospital back in October after suffering cardiac arrest brought on by anaphylactic shock from a bee sting.

He was hospitalized for more than two months before recently being transferred to a Philadelphia rehabilitation facility specializing in brain injuries.

Ryan Allen's wife, Whitney Allen, has been by her husband's side as he recuperates. She is the one who posted the recent video to Facebook.

Whitney Allen has been keeping the community informed on her husband's recovery, posting frequent videos to Facebook telling of the couple's journey. She is currently pregnant with their second child.

In addition to the emergency vehicle procession video, Whitney Allen also posted this past weekend photos showing her husband throughout the recovery process, with side-by-side shots that were taken eight weeks apart.

One shows Ryan Allen in the intensive care unit hooked up to what she called "a million monitors and being monitored by his nurses constantly and on a plethora of medications," and the other photo shows her husband with no tubes, except for a feeding tube, sitting in a wheelchair outdoors with his child in his lap.

"I've always believed in the magic of the holidays and now more than ever I want to harness all the holiday magic and all the prayers that Ryan has been receiving," Whitney Allen wrote. "We miss him so much and there is nothing more I want for the holidays than to get a little more back from the love of my life and my son's daddy."
