HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — They will say goodbye to a building that has served students for decades.

The Hatboro-Horsham School District is holding a special "Farewell to the Old Keith Valley" before a new $125 million middle school that is expected to open in September.

The farewell open house will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, to celebrate a building that served as Keith Valley Middle School as well as Hatboro-Horsham High School.

"The halls that have shaped generations of students will soon be just memories as we prepare to say goodbye to our beloved Keith Valley Middle School building," school officials said. "This is your chance to walk those familiar corridors one last time, peek into your old classrooms, and reconnect with the place where so many friendships and memories were created. Whether you graduated decades ago or just a few years back, come share your stories, reconnect, and celebrate the legacy of this special place."

The new Keith Valley Middle School is expected to be ready to welcome students on Sept. 2. It will be located behind the current school on Meetinghouse Road.

After years of studies, a new school was considered the best of several options.

School officials said that studies went back as far as 2008, prioritizing the project as high level. He said further studies over the past decade placed the middle school at the top of the list of school projects and that the process intensified for nearly two years through various meetings, proposals, and hearings.
