HORSHAM, PA — A Horsham man is facing more than 50 felony charges after authorities say more than 1,000 child-pornography videos were found on his computers.

Xing Jian Ge, 23, was arrested after a Jan. 22 search at his home, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday.

He now faces 50 felony counts of possessing child pornography, along with six counts of distributing child pornography and criminal use of a communications facility. He was arraigned before Judge Harry Nesbitt, who set bail at $100,000, which Xing posted.

Under the conditions of his bail, Xing may not have contact with minors and is barred from "nefarious internet usage."

In September 2020, detectives were conducting an online investigation on a file-sharing network when a specific IP address was identified as sharing child pornography. Prosecutors say that, from Sept. 1-23, 32 image files were downloaded and they contained photos of children engaged in sex acts or in sexually explicit poses.

According to the district attorney's office, subscriber information for the IP address led them to Xing's address in Horsham. A search warrant was served on Jan. 22 and numerous electronic devices, including a computer tower and hard drive, were seized.

The computer contained 1,049 video files and 264 image files of child pornography, prosecutors say. Of those, more than 100 showed "indecent contact" with children, including children under 5 years old being sexually assaulted, they said.

A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for April 15 before Nesbitt.
