Horsham Police Officer Retires After 30 Years
Horsham Township Council paid tribute to Greggory Wittmer, who finished his career as a police motor officer.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Horsham Township Police Officer Greggory Wittmer has called it quits, retiring after a 30-year career with the police department.
Horsham Township Council honored Wittmer with a proclamation for his service to the community.
Township Manager William Walker said Wittmer did a fantastic job for the township.

“He wanted to make sure we were safe and that the quality of life was high," Walker said.
Those sentiments were echoed by Police Chief Scott Fida, who said Wittmer always put his police service ahead of himself.

Wittmer started as a dispatcher in 1995 and became a police officer five years later. He finished as a motor officer.
Wittmer received numerous commendations and letters of gratitude from the community during his tenure.
"It was a bittersweet night at Council Chambers as we said thank you and goodbye to Motor Officer Greggory Wittmer," Horsham Community Police Services said in a Facebook post. "It has been our pleasure to work with you. We will miss you very much and wish you a long, happy, and above all healthy retirement."

Horsham Township recently hosted its 2nd annual EcoVENT, giving residents the chance to properly dispose of e-waste and safely shred sensitive documents. There was also a free tree giveaway at the Horsham Township Municipal Complex.
