What better way to get ready for spring than with some classic ghoulish entertainment? Keith Valley Music Theatre’s middle school acting troupe brings the beloved story of The Addams Family to life in this award-winning musical stage production.

The talented cast and crew are set to dazzle audiences as Gomez (Nicholas Mahaffey, 8), Morticia (Caroline McLaughlin, 8), Pugsley (Ryan Walsh, 8), Uncle Fester (Aiden Ball, 8), Grandma (Aliana D’Angelo, 8) and the family ancestors worry about the impact of Wednesday’s (Faith Ciciarelli, 8) new “normal” boyfriend Lucas (Grady Tomlinson, 8) on the family. With over 50 students involved in the cast and 30 members in the crew, this is one of the largest productions put on by KVMT.

The musical features fun tunes ranging from “When You’re an Addams” and “One Normal Night” to “Pulled” and “Crazier Than You.” The production is based on The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel cartoons, which depicted the ghoulish American family.

Although the characters have seen their stories created in numerous television and film adaptations, this is the first musical stage show featuring them.

The show, performed by Keith Valley Middle School students, is produced by Nicole Reichner and Emily Barber, directed by Mindy Rubinlicht and Jenn Goldberg, choreographed by Alex Goldberg, and with music directed by Meghan May.

Director Mindy Rubinlicht explained the decision behind selecting The Addams Family, saying, "This is a show that has so many sides to it, with a fun coming-of-age story and how it comedically disrupts this beloved family. The Addams Family is known by every generation, so it’s an experience that the whole family will love seeing together.”

All performances are at Keith Valley Middle School’s auditorium, with shows on Thursday, 3/21 @ 7:00 pm, Friday, 3/22 @ 7:00 pm, and Saturday, 3/23 @ 1:00 pm.

Tickets for all three performances are $12 for adults $6 for students/children, and can be preordered online.
