Investigators learned that the woman had broken off her relationship with Kelly in December. Since then, police say, he had repeatedly texted, phoned and otherwise harassed her, even as she repeatedly told him she did not want to see him.
In the early-morning hours of March 18, police say, Kelly called the woman three times, then used a ladder to get onto a balcony of her home.

Kelly was arraigned on March 20 by Magisterial District Judge James Gallagher, who set bail at 10 percent of $500,000. Kelly was unable to post bail and sent to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for April 6.
