'Moonlight Memories' Car Show Returns to Hatboro This Weekend

The popular car show in Hatboro has been taking place for nearly three decades. It returns on July 31.

HATBORO, PA — A popular car show in this Montgomery County town is returning this coming weekend, giving area car enthusiasts a chance to gather after a year-plus pandemic put a damper on large crowd gatherings.

The annual Moonlight Memories Car Show will be held this Saturday July 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Hatboro, and judging by past year's events, there are sure to be a number of very eye-catching custom vehicles.

The event, which will take place rain or shine and is put on by the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, is now in its 28th year, making it a longtime community favorite.

Event organizers bill this as one of the largest car shows in the area, and a number of local businesses have signed on as sponsors, according to information found on the event's website.

A look at Youtube videos of past years of Moonlight Memories events show a plethora of tricked out vehicles, everything from muscle cars and old roadsters to antique vehicles, old pickup trucks, sports cars and souped up convertibles.

The event is somewhat of a nostalgia trip, with the music, food, car enthusiasm and sense of community harking back to a bygone era.

If past iterations of the show are any sign, vehicles on display this year will likely have everything from stunning custom paint jobs to intense under-the-hood upgrades.

Those looking to participate must pre-register; if interested in getting a vendor spot during the event, send an email to: Hatborochamber@gmail.com. You can also visit the car show's main website for applications.

Area residents are reminded of temporary no parking restrictions along York Road, the main drag where car's will be on display during the event. No parking will be allowed along a stretch of York Road in downtown Hatboro beginning on 12 p.m. July 31, and any cars that are parking along the show route must be moved prior to this time.

The nearby Moreland and Orchard Shoppers Lot is also expected to close starting 9 p.m. July 30 and it will remain closed until 11 p.m. on July 31.
