New Keith Valley Middle School Transition Begins

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — After years of planning and construction, the Hatboro-Horsham School District is transitioning to the new Keith Valley Middle School later this week.

The Hatboro-Horsham School Board heard an update on the construction of Keith Valley Middle School by Bill Hambly of CHA Associates at its meeting last week.

Work is wrapping up at the new middle school, with the district administration wing of the building being set up and a move expected to take place between June 27 and July 3, school officials said.

An inspection of the kitchen by Montgomery County health officials is scheduled for Tuesday.

A pool inspection and certification will be held on June 30.

Meanwhile, the move into the new building from the old Keith Valley Middle School will take place between July 7-11, school officials said.

A full certificate of occupancy is expected to be ready the week of July 5.

Demolition of the old administration building is set for the week of July 28-Aug. 22. Meanwhile, the demolition of the old Keith Valley Middle School is scheduled for mid-September, with completion to be by mid-December.

Construction of athletic fields will start in January and be completed in August of 2026.

Many tours, information sessions, and community events are planned for the summer at the new middle school. They can be viewed on the school district's website.
