Local Pickleball Player David McPhillips of Horsham, PA to Compete for the Most Prestigious Title in the Sport at the 2023 Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships in Naples, Fla., April 15-22

NAPLES, FLA. – April 17 – A record 3,000+ pickleball players of all ages and skill levels from all 50 states and 26 different countries will gather in Naples, Florida from April 15-22 to compete in the largest and most prestigious pickleball tournament in the world -- the 2023 Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships powered by Margaritaville. All will be competing for the most prestigious title in the sport -- US OPEN Champion.
Among these players is David McPhillips from Horsham, PA. He will be competing in the Mixed Doublesage/ skill level event. He is the USA Pickleball Ambassador for the Hatboro-Horsham region and Pickleball instructor for Horsham Township.
The most prestigious event in pickleball since 2016 is back in beautiful Naples, Florida with a $125,000 pro prize purse, and a record number of players. Known as the “Biggest Pickleball Party in the World™,” a record 35,000 spectators help create an electric atmosphere throughout all 60-courts in the largest permanent pickleball facility in the world.
"The only person who can stop you from reaching your goals is you. I'm excited to be playing in the US Open and grateful for this opportunity to represent my community and Horsham Pickleball" said McPhillips.
The event will be streamed daily on Pickleball Channel with the women’s and men’s pro doubles finals broadcast live on CBS Sports Network on April 22 from 5-7pm ET.
