Route 611 Restaurant, Business Avoided Damage From Fire: FD

The Horsham Township Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire on Monday that heavily damaged a township shooting range.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Horsham Township Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire on Monday afternoon that heavily damaged a township shooting range on Route 611.

Lee Greenberg, chief of the Horsham Fire Co., told Patch Thursday morning that the bulk of the damage was contained to the shooting range at Clayton's Indoor Shooting Range on Monday.

Greenberg said about 10 fire departments from Montgomery and Bucks counties responded to the fire shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Easton Road, which shut the road for several hours.

He said the fire was brought under control in about 90 minutes and that no injuries were reported.

The shooting range suffered "significant fire and water damage."

Greenberg said the gun shop suffered smoke and water damage, but no fire damage. There was no accidental detonation of ammunition found in the showroom, the fire chief said.

Greenberg said no other buildings nearby had any fire damage.

Clayton's Gun Shop sits in the middle of the K9 Resorts Luxury Hotel and the NaBrasa Brazilian Steakhouse.
