See The 'Creed' Mansion In Huntingdon Valley Before It Goes Up For Auction
A key scene in the 2015 hit film Creed was filmed at the massive, 16,130 square foot Huntingdon Valley mansion. An open house is Thursday.
The mansion where a scene of the recent hit film Creed was filmed is going up for auction, and there will be one final open house beforehand.
The 2015 film starred Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, a boxer who died after a fight with Rocky in the original film franchise. Creed's son, Adonis Johnson Creed, plays out a key early scene with his mother that was filmed on the Huntingdon Valley property.
On the grand staircase pictured above, young Creed's mother, played by Phylicia Rashad, attempts to convince him to stay away from boxing. “Do you know how many times I carried your father up these stairs?”

The custom home, located on 3900 Buck Road, was originally built for a "high profile Philadelphia business leader," according to spokespersons with Max Spann Auction Co. The owner has since passed away, and the property fell to the bank.
The estate features a movie theatre, wrap around bar, indoor putting green, a private cherry wood library, a separate massive apartment over the garage, and a five acre park-like setting in the backyard, featuring statues.
