A 63-Year-Old Pedestrian Died After Being Struck By A Vehicle In Hatfield Township

Hatfield Township Police say the man was trying to cross the street while walking when he was struck and killed by a Honda CRV.

HATFIELD, PA — A 63-year-old man was struck and killed in this Montgomery County community last week while he was attempting to cross a roadway.

The Hatfield Township Police Department said the pedestrian, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene on May 6 at around 8:48 p.m. after he was fatally struck by a Honda CRV.

Police investigators say the Honda was traveling southbound along the 700 block of Bethlehem Pike in the left lane and the victim was attempting to cross the roadway when the accident occurred.

Police say they are withholding the man's name until next of kin is notified.

It was not immediately clear whether or not the driver of the Honda would be facing any criminal charges in connection with the crash.

It was also not revealed whether or not the pedestrian was crossing the street at a designated crosswalk at the time he was struck and killed.
