Free Shredding Event Scheduled For Saturday In Montco

Sen. Maria Collett and Rep. Liz Hanbidge are partnering with Pro-Shred to host a free drive-thru shredding event in Upper Gwynedd Saturday.

UPPER GWYNEDD, PA — The public is invited to partake in a free, drive-thru shredding event on Saturday in the parking lot of the Upper Gwynedd Township Building.

State Sen. Maria Collett and State Rep. Liz Hanbidge, two Montgomery County Democrats, announced they are partnering with Pro-Shred to host the free event, which is open to both Upper Gwynedd residents and those who live outside of the community.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those interested in taking part will have to remain in their vehicles during the shredding.

There will be a three-paper bag limit of personal shredding items per vehicle, and items that will not be accepted are plastic bags, three-ring binders, ledge books, cardboard, x-rays, CDs or larger binder clips.

All other personal documents and sensitive paper materials will be accepted.

The Upper Gwynedd Township Building is located at 1 Parkside Place in North Wales.
