Montgomery County Resident Jake Loburak Was Named Valedictorian For Neumann University

LANSDALE, PA — A local man was recently named valedictorian of Neumann University.

Jake Loburak, a resident of Lansdale, Montgomery County, was recently bestowed with the prestigious honor.

Loburak, a communication and digital media major, earned a 4.0 GPA from the school, which he graduates from this month, according to the university.

The school said that Loburak, who was active in campus ministry and served as a presidential ambassador, has also won awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and from College Broadcasters, Inc., which recognized his work with a national price for Best Feature News story in 2019.

Loburak, who completed two internships, one of which was at Radio City Music Hall, was recently hired as a part-time videographer for the Beasley Media Group, which runs several radio stations in Philadelphia, according to Neumann University.

Three companies have already reportedly offered Loburak jobs, the school stated.

"Every one of those employers sought him out, not the other way around," Lawrence DiPaolo, vice president for academic affairs at Neumann University, said in a statement.

Loburak is also a past winner of various student leadership awards, and he was a guest speaker during admissions events for incoming and prospective students and their families, according to the university.

Neumann University is a private, Catholic university located in Aston Township, Delaware County.

Commencement ceremonies for the 2014 graduating class are scheduled for this coming Saturday.
