Teen With Autism Who Runs Candle Co. Plans To Open Lansdale Location

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A local teenager with cerebral palsy and Autism who started up a candle making business as a way to raise money for his service dog is now planning to open another location in Lansdale, Montgomery County.
Shane Popiny, 13, who operates Shane and Pepper Candle Company — which is named for himself and his service dog — began his business after he experienced the calming effects of a candle's flame.
He was recently featured in a report on 6 ABC, which spoke about the history of the business and the future plans to open the Lansdale location.
