$180K Salary For New Falls Township Manager
Falls Township is undertaking a formal search for a new township manager to replace Matthew Takita.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —Falls Township is seeking a new township manager with a starting salary of $180,000 or more, depending on experience.
Township Manager Matthew Takita will serve in the role until his replacement is found, officials said.
Falls Township is accepting resumes through the first week of March and expects to hire a candidate by May.

“I have enjoyed serving the township and its residents in this role,” Takita said. “However, I look
forward to focusing more on zoning and code enforcement tasks in the future.”
Takita will continue to serve as the township's chief code enforcement officer and zoning officer. He has 30 years of experience in zoning and code enforcement.

Before joining the township in 2019, Takita served for 24 years as Bensalem Township’s Director of Building and Planning Department.
“We appreciate all of the efforts Matt puts forth every day managing projects both large and
small,” Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence said. “We are lucky to have a zoning and code
enforcement official of Matt’s caliber in Falls Township.”
The township is seeking an experienced township manager to lead a population of about 34,000 residents encompassing 26.6 square miles.
The township has a rich history that predates William Penn becoming the proprietor of Pennsylvania in 1681. The township includes portions of Fairless Hills and Levittown.
The township manager is the chief administrative officer responsible and reporting to the five members of the Board of Supervisors, who serve six-year staggered terms.
The successful candidate must be a dynamic leader and excellent communicator with the proven and demonstrated ability to provide sound and reasoned recommendations to the board, must embrace open, transparent, and ethical government, be highly visible within the township, be responsible for implementing all policies and procedures set by the board, and responsibly and effectively manage and operate within a nearly $52 million budget with 87 full-time employees.
