4 People Ran Prescription Drug Ring In Bucks Area: Police
The four, from the Washington, D.C. area, got Percocet and codeine in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester counties, prosecutors say.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Four people from out of state are accused of running a prescription drug ring in Bucks and neighboring counties after three of them were arrested in Bristol Township.
The two men and two women used stolen identities to buy prescription drugs in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties and used stolen doctors' information to write fake prescriptions, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
During the group's run, they obtained 300 Percocet tablets and 2,400 milliliters of Promethazine with codeine, authorities said.

Though authorities say criminal activity happened in three counties, prosecutors in Montgomery and Chester counties have authorized the Bucks County District Attorney's office to prosecute the case.
"Felony drug crimes take many forms," District Attorney Matt Weintraub said. "Here, multi jurisdictional law enforcement collaboration took down a ring of drug dealers acquiring prescription drugs by fraud. It was a great team effort, required to stop this organization in its tracks."
The investigation began on Sept. 11, 2019, when Bristol Township Police were investigating a prescription fraud that happened in the township that day. In a traffic stop, police took Tyrek Arrington, his sister, Mariyah, and Britton into custody.
Officers got a warrant to search their car and, according to prosecutors, found marijuana, a digital scale, rolling papers and a grinder containing marijuana. They say they also found an empty prescription bottle of Promethazine with codeine and three computer-generated prescriptions from a doctor.
The investigation later found that the group committed or tried to commit prescription fraud at pharmacies in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester counties from Aug. 28 to Sept. 9, prosecutors said.
