Distressed Boater Rescued From Delaware River
Authorities said the boater was pulled to safety early Monday morning in Lower Bucks County.
CROYDON, PA — A distressed boater was rescued early Monday morning after being stranded on the Delaware River, authorities said.
The Bristol Borough Fire Association sent out its marine rescue crews just after 1 a.m. on Monday to search the Delaware River for the boater in distress.
Authorities said the boat was located south of the Bensalem/Philadelphia border, and the boater was towed to safety.

Authorities said fire crews wrapped up the search in two hours.

A marine rescue unit was used last month to recover a swimmer who drowned in the Delaware River.
A 24-year-old Trenton, N.J. man was pulled from the Delaware River in the Yardley-Morrisville area on June 25 and pronounced dead, the Bucks County Coroner said.
The Marine Rescue Unit of the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company pulled the swimmer's body from the river, officials said.
The man went missing on the Delaware River upstream, according to the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance Squad.
A King of Prussia man was found dead after the boat that he and two others were in capsized in the Delaware River in May. The two other people in the boat survived the incident.
