Falls Twp. Road Work: See Where Fixes Are Planned
Township supervisors approved a $1.6 million contract to do the road work this week. Find out when it's planned to start.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Supervisors in Falls on Tuesday approved a $1.6 million contract for road improvements in the township.
The road work is scheduled to be done in the next few weeks as part of the township's annual road-improvement program. At Tuesday's meeting, supervisors voted to finalize a bid by General Asphalt Paving Co. to do the work.
According to the township, Falls plans to carry out "full depth reconstruction" on the following roadways this year:

- Rice Drive
- Fletcher Drive
- Lions Drive
Also, part of Elbow Lane, between Stony Hill Road and the Falls Township line, will be getting improvements as well.
In a separate vote, supervisors also accepted a proposal from Jones Engineering Associates for professional inspection and administrative services related to the road-improvement project. As part of the $85,000 proposal, Jones will inspect and provide oversight on all work that's part of the project.

Supervisors say construction is expected to start some time in October.
Each year Falls Township designates roads for its road improvement program. Each year, the township can undertake more or fewer road upgrades depending on budget that year's budget, Chairman Bob Harvie said.
