Family Homeless After Bristol Twp. Fire
Fire officials say a smoke detector helped save the family of nine early Thursday morning.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A family in Bristol Township has been left homeless after a house fire early Thursday.
Firefighters were called at 12:35 a.m. to the 20 block of Aster Lane in Bristol. There, a woman had been awakened by smoke alarms and was able to wake her husband and seven children and evacuate the home, said Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.
Dippolito said the house was heavily damaged in the blaze and left uninhabitable. He said he determined the fire started in the area of the family's dryer. No one was injured in the fire, he said.
