Historic Bristol Day Is Saturday, Oct. 19
In its 43rd year, the October festival celebrates the history of Bristol, which dates back to the 1700's.
BRISTOL, PA — It's time to celebrate Bristol's history once again.
Historic Bristol Day, sponsored by the Bristol Cultural & Historic Foundation, is Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. along the waterfront in downtown Bristol.
It's the 43rd year for the festival, but the tradition dates back in Bristol to the mid-1700's, when the borough's charter authorized the holding of fairs in May and October.

The event will feature a food court at the riverside behind the Bristol Riverside Theatre at 120 Radcliffe St. and food and drink vendors throughout the rest of the festival area.
There will be a riverside tea served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 922 Radcliffe St. (tickets are required) and a baked goods table

Historic buildings throughout Bristol's downtown, including borough hall, Bristol Friends Meeting House, Grundy Museum and at least two churches, will be open all day for tours.
Events, running from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., will include an archaeological dig, an art exhibit and sale, a car show, a boat show, a children's corner, a historical military encampment and walking tours of the area.
There will be live musical performances and other entertainment throughout the day, as well as face painters, balloon artists and more
From 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., there will be a shuttle service running from Dow Chemical's Otter Street lot, where parking for the event will be available. The River Runner also will be running from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., making stops along Radcliffe Street.
