House Fire Under Investigation In Middletown Twp.

A fire gutted a home in the Red Rose Gate section of Levittown​ on Friday, authorities said.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —A fire that gutted a home in the Red Rose Gate section of Levittown is under investigation, fire officials said.

The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 responded just before 5 p.m. Friday with the William Penn Fire Company to a house fire on Red Ridge Road in the Red Rose Gate section of Levittown.

Arriving fire crews found a smoke condition with no visible fire before seeing flames on the first and second floors in the walls and attic space.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire and bring it under control within 30 minutes.

The fire is under investigation by the Middletown Township Fire Marshal's Office.

The William Penn Fire Company said that two firefighters sustained minor burns from suppression operations on the second floor.

Among the assisting fire companies and agencies were the: Middletown Fire & Emergency Services, Penndel Volunteer Fire Company Station 8, Levittown Fire Company No. 2, Fairless Hills Fire Department - Station 31, Third District Volunteer Fire Company, Newportville Fire Company Station 12/82, Newport Fire Company, Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department, and the Middletown Township Police Department.
