Levittown Resident Receives Toastmaster of the Year Award

District 38 Toastmasters is one of over 100 districts around the world that make up Toastmasters International. Toastmasters is an organization that “provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.”

This past weekend, District 38 held their Fall Conference where the district celebrated 65 years of supporting members in their journey to become better speakers and leaders. During the Hall of Fame Luncheon, Jeanette McVeigh of Levittown, PA, received the District 38 Toastmaster of the Year award for her dedication to the district and its members.

"Toastmasters has allowed me to stretch my wings as a leader", says McVeigh, "and I am honored to receive this award from the district. My only regret is that I did not find out about Toastmasters earlier in my life".
