Levittown Tennis Squad Wins National Title
They defeated a team from Bergen, N.J., in the finals and a squad from San Juan, Puerto Rico in the semi-finals in Arizona.

LEVITTOWN, PA — A women's tennis team from Levittown has taken home a national title.
The squad captured the title at the USTA League Adult 18 & Over national championships in Surprise, Arizona.
Representing the USTA Middle States section, the team defeated a squad from Bergen, N.J. in the championship match, 3-2. Earlier in the day, the Levittown team also defeated a team from San Juan, Puerto Rico in the semifinals, also by a 3-2 margin.

The Levittown team is captained by Gena Maresca and Karen Holland and its members are Karen Hillis, Gloria Nelson, Dawn Keaton, Sherri Hammer, Ann Tracey, Stephanie Mockus, Anne Sherow, Tenaz Purdy, Glenna Czumbil, Regina Parissi, Patricia Reilly, Mary McCaffrey, Janet Van Mol, Dorothy Vereen, Katherine Hagestad, Rachel McGowan and Janet Bellaran
They play at the Frosty Hollow Tennis Center.
