The then President-Elect addressed 1,000 people in Bristol as his train stopped while heading to Washington, D.C., for his inauguration.

BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA —It's President Abraham Lincoln's birthday with the federal holiday, Presidents Day, being celebrated across the country on Monday.
Borough officials were thinking about the president on Wednesday, his birthday, and his historic visit to Bristol Borough on Feb. 21, 1861.
On that date, Lincoln was president-elect and headed on his train to Washington, D.C., for his inauguration.
