FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A local man is under arrest after police say he shot another man during a gunfight Sunday in Levittown.

Falls Township Police officers were called at about 3 p.m. Sunday to Buttonwood Lane, in Levittown. There, they found a man who had been shot several times in the right arm, according to police spokesman Lt. Nelson Whitney.

The man was taken to St. Mary Medical Center to be treated. There, he told police that, before the shooting, he'd noticed Jason Brennan, a former acquaintance, parked outside his home in a white SUV.

He went outside to speak with Brennan and, during the conversation, Brennan said words to the effect of "You don't belong here" and "You'd better leave," according to police. The victim saw that Brennan had a handgun and called out to his girlfriend, who was outside with the couple's 2-year-old child, to take cover and call 911.

The man then went inside and got two firearms of his own, Whitney said.

When he walked back outside, Brennan, who was still inside the SUV, shot at the victim, police said. The victim returned fire and hit Brennan's SUV, a white Chevrolet Equinox, as he drove away.

Shortly afterward, police saw Brennan in Croydon and he was taken into custody by Bristol Township Police. He had a loaded handgun and his SUV had damage to the rear window that appeared to be bullet holes, according to Whitney.

Brennan was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility, where he was held on 10 percent of $3 million bail.
