Person Killed By SEPTA Train In Bucks County

SEPTA officials said a West Trenton Line Regional Rail train struck the victim on Wednesday night on the tracks between two stations.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A person was struck and killed by a SEPTA train on Wednesday night between two Lower Bucks County train stations, officials said.

Andrew Busch, SEPTA's director of media relations, said the person was struck and killed just before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday by a southbound West Trenton Line train in the track area between the Langhorne and Neshaminy Falls stations.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no injuries reported to customers or SEPTA employees, Busch said.

He said a shuttle bus was requested to accommodate the passengers on board.

Service from Neshaminy Falls to the end of the line was suspended through the end of service on Wednesday night. Regular service resumed on Thursday.

Patch reached out to the Bucks County Coroner's Office seeking more information about the victim and the cause of death.
