Rite Aid To Close Centers In Langhorne, Fairless Hills
The distribution center's two locations will close in December, the company said.
LANGHORNE, PA — Rite Aid will be closing two distribution centers in the Levittown area, causing a loss of 356 jobs.
In a letter to state labor officials, the drugstore company said facilities, in Langhorne and Fairless Hills, are closing Dec. 4. The closure is due to Rite Aid being sold to Walgreen's, which has decided not to use the facilities, read the company's letter to the state Bureau of Workforce Devlopment.
Employees who wish to remain employed until the closing date will be able to do so, the company said, but the letter said nothing about workers being placed elsewhere after the centers close.
