Severe storms that ripped through Bucks County also downed wires and trees through Bristol Township and elsewhere.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — The roof was ripped off of one building and a tree crashed through the second floor of another in Bristol Township during strong storms that rolled through the area on Wednesday.

On the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, the roof over four suites of an industrial building was lifted up and collapsed into the building, according to Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.

Fortunately, no one was injured, he said.

Elsewhere Wednesday afternoon, in the Indian Creek section of Levittown, a tree crashed through the second floor of a home. The residents were all on the first floor and no one was hurt, Dippolito said.

Numerous trees and wires were downed throughout the township in the storms, Dippolito said.
